I have used the extra money to pay off debt, fund family trips, or build up our Christmas savings. In January 2020, we booked round-trip flights to Paris for the four of us. This trip was a reward for our years of paying off six figures of debt , and we were going to pack a lot into our week. Whew, got all of that!

New furniture wasn’t in the budget for this project, but we sold some other unused furniture in November and we now have enough to pay for the new furniture. This money gets sent automatically to the 529 accounts we set up for our girls in 2020. I started searching and test drove a pre-owned Highlander in January 2020.
