Furthermore, what about the potential of that $1 a couple of times a month (or 8 times a month if you buy twice a week) to become a significant and almost sure amount of money over time? So logically, lottery tickets are a waste of money. Our cousin, aunt and uncle are a loyal patrons of the Taiwan lottery. (Or Or at least my cousin was until a recent tarot reading convinced her to cut back on the lottery purchases.)

Many years ago when I was in college, a friend who had young children told me that she saved her kid’s baskets from year to year. What is the return on investment for your newspaper subscription?
also love Sudoku and my hubby grabs the sports. This week, over granola , as I was reading I started wondering if I was getting my money's worth with the 7-day subscription? The newspaper offers other money-saving opportunities though. Also, a local favorite restaurant had a B1G1F coupon and a department store had a 15% coupon. What do the savings add up to? Our newspaper recently announced a price increase, but if you pre-paid for the year you received the 2008 price and you received a coupon book with thousands of dollars worth of coupons, kind of like a mini entertainment book.
