I read this book around the same time that I became a mother and left the full-time workforce to stay at home with our new baby. It was a hard transition for me to go from being a major financial contributor in our marriage to staying at home with a baby and not bringing in a paycheck. Thank you, Susan!

At the time I had a 1 1/2 year old and another baby on the way. Funny enough, after being so focused on saving for so long, I don’t think we really did anything but say a prayer of thanks! What are your financial goals now? We aren’t quite ready to dive head first into another financial goal.

We followed Dave Ramsey’s baby steps. We have led 7 sessions of Financial Peace University mostly to keep ourselves motivated. We sold our house so now we are on Baby Step 4! What are your financial goals now? Thank you, Amanda & Daniel, for being so honest with your debt free story.

A HUGE chunk of that thanks to my husband. We also listed to The Dave Ramsey Show every day for daily motivation while we worked the baby steps. Baby furniture, BBQ pits, tools, guns… EVERYTHING. Thank goodness its illegal to sell cute little children, because I would have gotten a pretty penny for my son.

The fear of losing my baby led to the desire for me to be a stay at home mom, but I knew that would never work if we were in such debt. We paid off our law school and car loans several years ago, just because we didn’t like having them hang over our heads, but then we took a Financial Peace University class and made it our goal to pay off our house as well. What are your financial goals now? We are excited to be on Baby Step #7—the fun part!

We obviously love Dave Ramsey and financial teachings so we help to teach those classes at our church one night a week. It’s been busy with the babies and so much work/income that hobbies lately have been sleeping (if we can) and traveling. What are your financial goals now? Increase college funds for babies.
