My daughter-in-law walked into a furniture store and talked the manager into giving her a 20% off the top discount on all furniture purchased that day – since she was buying a lot. He is family and I got into my reserves and paid the bill. Two tires on my ‘soccer mom’ aka my ‘batmobile’ aka my mini van needed to be replaced. My daughter had an infection in her baby tooth. That cost me $1230.00. The following morning, I picked him up. He was back to his old-self. Nearly $2K :'(.
