2017 was a great year, but for some reason I did not create personal goals for myself last January. Everyone who rocks goals talks about accountability, so this year I’m sharing a few top personal goals that I made for myself and I’ll update you throughout the year on my progress. These are just my personal goals.

My monthly goal is $100. How did I do in March? About a year ago, a friend of mine on Facebook shared that she saves $1 bills that have Federal Reserve letters that match the first letter of her kids’ names. You will also find a Christmas Budget spreadsheet in my Family Budget Spreadsheets bundle.

Like many across the globe, my family’s finances are a bit unstable due to the Coronvius Pandemic. My second prayer is that my family gets through this crisis financially. I set up a strategy years ago to pay for those yearly expenses , so thankfully, there’s money for these bills and we won’t fall behind.

My monthly goal is $100. Also, in February, I received a check of $45 from a family member who was reimbursing us from a group gift that we took care of over the holidays. In March, I added $70 in $1 bills that I had been setting aside for the past year. On one morning, I found a $20 bill ON THE BEACH!

My monthly goal is $100. Also, in February, I received a check of $45 from a family member who was reimbursing us from a group gift that we took care of over the holidays. In March, I added $70 in $1 bills that I had been setting aside for the past year. I’m challenging myself to find the cash outside of our budget.

My husband and kids won’t tolerate a bare kitchen and bad, boring food–they would seriously revolt. But we have some serious financial goals to hit and the grocery budget is an easy target when it comes to cutting the budget. I felt like March was somewhat of a success. It is frequently a side dish at dinner.

My oldest was in eighth grade and one of my goals for 2020 was to start saving consistently for both daughters’ college education.
