Sunday : I took the ham bone from Saturday and some of the leftover ham and made a big batch o ham & bean soup. I stuck the leftover soup in the freezer. Wednesday: Cheesy Broccoli Rice with Ham from Buns in my Oven. I used leftover ham from Sunday and made what turned out to my kids’ new favorite dinner.

We ate leftover ham & bean soup, kielbasa, and whatever we felt like eating. Tuesday: I made Burrito Bowls using leftovers from Monday night. Thursday : Pork tenderloin wraps with leftovers from Wednesday night. I heat up in the toaster oven in the morning and put in a thermos. Want to lower your grocery bill?

Sunday: Leftovers – we cleaned out the refrigerator. Friday: It’s pizza night here, but it’s too hot turn on the oven, so I’m grilling the pizza instead. Would you like to lower your grocery bill? I throw some kind of meat on the grill and serve it with fresh fruit or a quick veggie, and call it a day.

Frugal Friday: 11/04/16

Tuesday: We had a lot of pesto ranch chicken leftover from last week , so I cooked some bacon in the oven and made chicken & bacon quesadillas. They were yummy and a great way to use up leftover chicken. Our home was built in 1969 with baseboard electric heat, which equals pretty high electric bills in the winter.
