He is family and I got into my reserves and paid the bill. I was going to drive from Georgia to Virginia, nearly 11 hour ride with my two kids. He was throwing up … a lot… which means, time to take him to the vet. However, Banfield was closed and I took him to the emergency Vet. That cost me $1230.00.

Where I live seems to be a lot more affordable than places like the East Coast–when I visit a friend in Virginia, or Florida, I’m shocked by the grocery store prices. I know my dad got frustrated by the bills sometimes, and I must have absorbed that anxiety, because sometimes I get very anxious about spending money.
