Did you make 2023 financial goals ? We decided on one big audacious financial goal for the year, and it’s a doozy! The last time we wrote numbers-driven financial goals was 2019. But after that, our goals were not as specific. We want to assist our daughters with their college expenses.

Stanley’s book, Millionaire Women Next Door: The Many Journeys of Successful American Businesswomen, and I had an aha moment. Chapter 17 in this book is titled, “Why not run the family office?” I read this book around the same time that I became a mother and left the full-time workforce to stay at home with our new baby.

A few years ago, we were struggling financially and I felt like our situation was hopeless. At the time, I wasn’t sure how we were going to pay our monthly bills, so future plans like funding our retirement , our daughters’ college education, or a lavish vacation were not on my mind. Some of my finds: Red ladies’ size 9 red Converse for $2.50 – These retail for about $40 and this pair was hardly worn and will fit my oldest daughter. These wristlets were never used. , we’re working on our Financial Vision Board in the month of June. We want to help pay for our daughters’ college.

We have some hefty financial goals this year and this is just one more way for me to squeeze more from our budget. In January, I only ventured into Target because our daughters wanted to go and spend some of their Christmas gift money. Daughter and mommy were both thrilled.

We have some hefty financial goals this year and this is just one more way for me to squeeze more from our budget. I found a pair of blue jeans for myself for $3 and some clothes for my daughters for $1 a piece. I have found new or gently worn name brand clothing, snow gear, shoes, household stuff, and books.
