Earlier this year, my husband and I wrote a specific list of financial goals and named it Our Debt Freedom Plan. We used Dave Ramsey’s principles from his books, The Total Money Makeover and Financial Peace as a guide to create a step by step plan on how we will achieve our financial goals. S – specific.

What are your hobbies? When my husband and I got married, we both brought debt into the marriage and I knew that I wanted to pay it off. I also wanted to pay off the student loans he had, and see him graduate without occurring any more debt. I initiated paying off the debt.

What are your hobbies? We made sure we could afford the monthly payments on a 15 year mortgage, with the mindset that we would pay more each month. What inspired you to get debt free? There were two things that inspired us to pay off debt. We did follow Dave Ramsey’s 7 Baby Steps to becoming debt free.
