For many people, working from home is a dream. Others, though, don’t really enjoy working from home. I enjoy working from home, and am glad that I have a career that allows me to do that. My husband, on the other hand, doesn’t enjoy working from home nearly as much.

One of the things I used to tell my mom was that, of course I could do my homework while watching TV. I tried to make out like I was this amazing multi-tasker, reading while I did my chores (have you ever tried to hold a book in one hand while wielding a vacuum in the other?), What works for you? Even though I work from home, I still benefit from a regular work schedule. I am much more productive in the mornings, so I try to arrange my schedule so that most of my work is done before lunch. My mom got me valerian root, melatonin, and other natural sleep. 7 Ways to Rid Stress from Your Life.

There were no day care centers – women stayed home and raised the kids. Working from home usually meant selling stuff door to door. Toni home perms were prevalent. Hair cuts were done at home by a family member. People read newspapers, magazines and books for entertainment. My radio was AM only.
