We spoiled our children and we apparently are even more intent on doing so with our grandchildren! My parents were somewhat more interactive with their grandchildren (my kids). Why are we spending more on our grandchildren? It never occurred to me to ask Mom or Mom-in-law to come watch my kids. It’s just fun!

When I was a young adult, I hadn’t a clue how to go about deciding what I wanted to do ‘when I grow up’ I picked a college major solely on what I enjoyed studying – without any thought or investigation as to how it might (or might not) lead to a job some day. It didn’t. I don’t think there is one.
