My degree is in mechanical engineering, but I’m just starting a transition to nursing – before I got pregnant with my son, I was working as a nursing assistant while my husband finished grad school, and planning to go on to nursing school. They had me, and then my mom decided to go back to school full-time and get a PhD.

My niece goes to Goodwill and buys what I can only describe as bags of junk, and she makes a full-time income selling it on eBay. My son has been doing this for about a year now and averages a few hundred dollars a week. Leftover rice can be fried with a bag of frozen mixed veggies and some eggs for fried rice!
