My oldest was in eighth grade and one of my goals for 2020 was to start saving consistently for both daughters’ college education. Since March of 2020, over $1300 has been transferred into my daughters’ 529 College Savings Accounts.

We are in what I call our “shovel season of life” Our oldest daughter leaves for college in the fall of 2024 and we have a big savings goal to hit before then.

Where I found money in February

I had an unexpected surprise hit my credit card in February. My daughter outgrew the set and we put the money towards a new set for her. In January, I found more extra money than I ever have and I was so excited about it, BUT unexpectedly, February…blew.it.out.of.the.water! My total of found money in February: $3433.68.

While I don’t advocate the use of credit cards with a continuing balance, we do use a credit card on many purchases and pay the balance off when the bill comes.
