It was a mix of college loans, a personal loan from my parents (for college), an overdraft account, and credit card debt. What inspired you to get debt free? I had tried a lot of different things to get out of debt but nothing worked. I thought I’d die with my debt but here I am living debt-free.

Advantages of Paying Off Debt From a purely financial point of view, it makes more sense to focus on debt payoff rather than directing available cash to a savings account. From a personal point of view, I much prefer living debt free.
