Our 2019 Financial Goal. Happy New Year’s 2019: In January 2019, we were down to one final non-mortgage loan, so we created just one financial goal for the year—-to pay off that last non-mortgage debt by December. We can now move on to other financial goals. 1st Update in June 2014. 2018 Update.

Stressed out, we ventured into Dave Ramsey’s online Financial Peace University home course for help. Prior to FPU, we thought we were doing well financially and never considered that we had too much debt. We thought we were doing really well. Well, you know how that ends…someday, we’ll travel extensively. .

This is where we cut out any extra spending, such as personal money and clothing money, as well as trying to cut our grocery budget for the month, and add the money we saved to the debt payment. The work ethic definitely hasn’t eased since becoming debt free. What are your financial goals now?

In September 2019, my husband and I accomplished our biggest financial goal in our almost 20 years of marriage. Our business was doing very well, and we were excited about the opportunity to own a property outside of our home. It was so big that I cried for two days straight– we paid off six figures in non-mortgage debts.
