That is why I created Family Budget Spreadsheets — a bundle of spreadsheets that we personally use to plan and budget our money. This is a 12-month spreadsheet.

I’ve been working behind the scenes on a tool that I personally use to track and organize our finances: Family Budget Spreadsheets. This blog was based on my very first spreadsheet, the Family Balance Sheet. That first family balances sheet sparked my love for spreadsheets, and over the years I created many more out of necessity.

Like many across the globe, my family’s finances are a bit unstable due to the Coronvius Pandemic. My second prayer is that my family gets through this crisis financially. This is not an elective, fun, no-spend month like what we did in January to find funds for our summer vacation. More family time!

We consider her our “bonus kid” and our family is extremely close. Aside from those exceptions, we did all the work ourselves and with the help of family. We didn’t start a family until we were married for almost 15 years.) Alan and I, by choice, bought land in an area with low property taxes. Go figure.

My family’s finances have also been affected. It was during this time that I created my first Family Balance Sheet. As the Family Office Manager , I handle the day-to-day finances for our family and I needed a way to communicate our finances to my husband. Everything changed. I still use my spreadsheet to this day!

There are boat shows, boats at Cabella’s, boat manufacturers and lots of people whose main recreation is ‘going to the lake’ My growing up family were definitely land lubbers. When vacationing, I always try to include some kind of boat tour. Not all family members like boating.
