As I was flushing a very old, forgotten-about, slimy Greek salad down the disposal last week, it occurred to me that I have gotten a little lax about leftovers at our house. (I I didn't compost the salad, because it had feta cheese mixed in) We certainly eat leftovers, but by the end of last week, we were (1) lazy and (2) lazy.

Institute a 'Raid the Fridge' Night One night a week, raid the fridge to get rid of leftovers. Set the leftovers up buffet style. Everyone's plate might look different, but you'll at least use up the leftovers and reduce the waste. Utilize the Freezer Freeze those leftovers. Stockpile in the freezer.

My husband is a huge NFL fan so we always make a big deal about the Super Bowl. This is one of my favorite slow cooker meals and it was included in my freezer cooking session last fall.

If you are an Eagles fan, like me, the season started last night! We always find ourselves with so much leftover food, that everyone has leftovers to take home. In the past, I would give my family my glass containers to take food home in. I used all of the products shown and they all passed the Shaffer leftover test.
