My niece goes to Goodwill and buys what I can only describe as bags of junk, and she makes a full-time income selling it on eBay. Used clothing, toys, and necessities sell very well. The first time I did this was nearly 20 years ago, and it was a big eye-opener. I actually do this a few times a year.

For 20 or so years I’ve been homeschooling my kids, and am now down to about 1 1/2 (one full-time homeschooler, and one doing College Credit Plus with some support). We have a lot of free parks and nature reserves for hiking, and a wonderful library system that does free Inter Library Loans as well as lots of e-books.

They had me, and then my mom decided to go back to school full-time and get a PhD. Three years later, she graduated, and my dad decided to do the same.
