What I Spent So I went to pull together my grocery spending for the week and I realized that it’s all quick trips to Safeway. This is better than endless nights of eating out, but definitely not as frugal as an organized trip to Aldi. I spent $63 at Safeway, spread out between an embarrassing number of trips.

I kind of hate Black Friday because I dislike crowds and limited-quantity offers. Every day, even Black Friday, is Commit Cat Crimes Day for Chiquita. But here in Frugal Girl world, it’s business as usual. We did Thankful Thursday on Thanksgiving, and today we’re doing WIS, WWA on Black Friday.

I spent: $50 at Safeway And that’s it! What We Ate Saturday I made French toast with berries and whipped cream… and I was lucky enough to snag the last container of whipped cream at Safeway. Friday I made a batch of butternut squash soup earlier in the week so maybe that’ll be dinner.

I spent: $15 at Target (for two bags of Starbucks coffee) $30 on a Hungry Harvest box $51 at Sam’s Club $17 at Safeway So, $113. I felt a little stumped about what to make for dinner, and I stopped at Safeway rather aimlessly, hoping for inspiration to strike. We’re 25% of the way through this 16-week semester already!
