I grew up with frugal parents so it was ingrained in me from an early age. What’s your best frugal win? We knew that I would likely not be working full time much longer as we wanted to start a family, so we chose a house that was in a low price range and got a 15-year mortgage.

For 20 or so years I’ve been homeschooling my kids, and am now down to about 1 1/2 (one full-time homeschooler, and one doing College Credit Plus with some support). I live in the Great Lakes region, in the same state where I was born. Is there anything unique about frugal living in your area? Not at all.
