For 20 or so years I’ve been homeschooling my kids, and am now down to about 1 1/2 (one full-time homeschooler, and one doing College Credit Plus with some support). How long have you been reading The Frugal Girl? I know I found The Frugal Girl through the Non-Consumer Advocate, and I’ve read nearly all the archives.

It is a perfect fit for me, as frugality is my hobby and passion, but I also find myself very attracted to the “go green” movement. The fact that the Prairie EcoThrifter focuses heavily on both topics – frugality and green living – really appealed to me. Think that is counter-productive to my frugal lifestyle? Think again!

How long have you been reading The Frugal Girl? Years — I can’t remember how I found Kristen, but ages ago I spent a lot of time reading The Simple Dollar and Get Rich Slowly, which I loved back then before they were sold. That there’s always still time to become more frugal.

It helps take some pressure off that is for sure especially when I am still working full time while taking this course. When it comes to being frugal, there is a line that you shouldn’t cross to save those pennies. If you’re a parent, you know how hard it is to carve out time for yourself.
