Last year, to make a little extra cash, I started boarding dogs through Rover, and I am about to start a very very part time job using my RN license for a home care company. In my free time I enjoy canning and preserving food (well, I enjoy the results of it, ha!), canned peaches = summer in a jar 2.

It's been quite a year; I have a total of four jobs (one full time, three part time) and am beginning to make a dent in my student loan debt. By the end of this year, I will have increased my income by over 70% (compared to my one full time job). Now, going forward, what are my goals for 2012 ?

Career advancement is the goal, of course, but your choice of concentration is what will shape the path that leads there. And the traditional method does have its upsides—networking is far easier when you’re in a classroom with all of the same people, and you’ll be able to dedicate your full effort to learning.

If you fail to start thinking of your retirement plan now (regardless of how old you are), I think you will fail to achieve your goals. Well, okay, maybe not this instant (you should finish this post first), but soon! In doing so, it forces you to work towards accomplishing this goal. Don’t wait!

We eventually alleviated the situation when I retrained for a high paying career and went to work full time (after those 10 years at home with the kids). If you have a big goal in life and don’t feel that your job is letting you work toward that goal, you won’t feel good about the work. What are the symptoms?

works in outbound sales, and I teach part-time. A life goal of ours is. working full time at a low-paying job and going to grad school full time, while my husband was working multiple jobs just to help us make ends meet. get better once I had my masters degree and could teach full-time.
