In my free time I enjoy canning and preserving food (well, I enjoy the results of it, ha!), baking, library storytimes, and being involved in our church’s Bible study, meals for the sick, and other various ministries. My husband and I bought our first home in 2013 when interest rates and housing prices were pretty low.

For 20 or so years I’ve been homeschooling my kids, and am now down to about 1 1/2 (one full-time homeschooler, and one doing College Credit Plus with some support). Eventually, when I was married and working at a library I ordered my own copy of the Complete Tightwad Gazette–and I still have it!

Box are some of my favorite authors) and I use the library to borrow both regular books and electronic resources. A few years back, I hit my all-time high by borrowing 126 books over the course of one year. He says we were busy building the house and our careers and it was money well spent because it freed up our time.
