Last year, to make a little extra cash, I started boarding dogs through Rover, and I am about to start a very very part time job using my RN license for a home care company. In my free time I enjoy canning and preserving food (well, I enjoy the results of it, ha!), canned peaches = summer in a jar 2.

I also love to visit family (all our family is between 2 and 4 hours away) and friends, bake, and play board games. Playing board games with friends I really don’t like crafts, despite years of attempting scrapbooking, knitting, etc, but I do like advising on my fiancé’s woodworking projects. I haven’t decided yet.

Now-I’m a single parent who works part-time, cares for my elder mother, homeschools & runs a farm. The hardest-it gets really old being on a tight budget sometimes, even looking at the end game or the why. There’s always been garage sales/flea markets, library, state parks, fishing. This means funds are tight.

A few years back, I hit my all-time high by borrowing 126 books over the course of one year. A third “why” is that saving money is like a game to me. I enjoy playing the game and I like to win.
