Not So Free – Free Things

I took it apart (which took about an hour) and am stripping the paint off the iron (think at least one can of paint stripper) and then will spray with Rust-oleum – and I just found out that the cans I thought I had had been used on lamps! Go Green This Halloween

We do put up decorations (ones I buy at garage sales or thrift stores and reuse each year). Dad’s old cowboy hat and a rope from the garage can be the start of a cowboy get up. Mom’s black cape, some makeup and a piece of cardboard cut and painted black to make bats ears can make someone into Dracula.

Used Furniture – Re-purpose, Recycle, Re-use.

In spite of the expense, some of the newer furniture is much less well made than older pieces. Garage sale and thrift store furniture bargains abound. I used several boxes of baking soda to help sanitize and deodorize them as well. There another product called Krammer’s Best Antique Improver that also works well.
