Grandparenthood Can Be Expensive!

I’ve seen the nieces and my own kids ask for and get babysitting services time after time from a busy working boomer. In my experience, my kids expect more of me for their kids than I expected of my parents for mine. It never occurred to me to ask Mom or Mom-in-law to come watch my kids.

to Grandfather’s house we go; . I’m pretty sure I always sang it as Grandmother’s house, which is weird since we actually went to my Grandfather’s house for holidays. My nieces, my daughter and I sing all the songs, loudly , to the annoyance of my brother and son-in-law. Sometimes there is snoring.
