My husband and I live in the Willamette Valley in Oregon with our three kids, ages 4-6. My cute kids when they were little I used to be a Spanish teacher until I stopped working to stay home with my kids. Additionally, it’s really important to us to have money to give to our kids so we save for that reason too.

I cried for days and we celebrated the occasion with a family cruise a few months later. Also that year, I wanted to create an In Case of Emergency (ICE) binder for my family. I did achieve this goal and ended up calling it our Family Vital Information Binder. It was a momentous occasion that was many years in the making.

At that time, our kids were 8 & 6, and now they’re both teenagers and wrapping up ninth & seventh grades. We celebrated both occasions with a family cruise that we paid for with cash. We never stopped taking vacations, but our trips were mostly camping in our pop-up or renting a beach house with other families. 6 – Increase our emergency funds for the home & office to 3 – 6 months worth of expenses. We’ve been in our home since September 2001.
