What I Spent I went into this week with absolutely no menu plan…I was just winging it all week long and still, we didn’t eat out at all. Shelley always looks kinda mad in photos. Tuesday I sauteed the rest of the chicken tenderloins and used them in a green salad, with homemade croutons on top.

BREAKFAST: We'll be rotating these 4 breakfasts throughout the week.

The weeks that I take the time to plan the menu are the weeks that I have control over our spending. The weeks were I don’t menu plan are the weeks that I’m at the grocery store multiple times or we get take out multiple times, leading to an out of control grocery spending. Menu planning saves me time.

Usually I snap a photo of what I eat, but I’ve got nothin! For being so random, this was pretty tasty, and I felt happy about using up some veggies plus the random bag of couscous. But I did use up some of that ham annnnnnd that’s the last of the kale from my Hungry Harvest box. But I burnt that thing so badly.

Did you know that meal planning is one of the keys to saving money on your grocery bill? Using coupons will save you money at the register, but using your food wisely is going to save you money as well! I admit to completely dropping the ball with menu planning. A lousy menu plan is better than none at all!
