I started my spring break this week and so I told my husband he could pick out our recipes for the week since I'll have plenty of time to cook. Plus, I'm in a bit of a "recipe rut" so I was happy for the help!

March OAMM Menu
Here it is, an all new freezer menu planned! I'm oober excited about the menu. I plan on making March 27 my big freezer cooking day. Here's the menu that I've planned out: Chicken Chicken Divan Chicken Pasta Stroganoff Mediterranean Wrap Sandwiches Rice Casserole Lemony Chicken Saute' Barbecue Chicken Orange Stir-Fried Chicken Glazed Chicken and Rice Pilaf Chicken and Squash Chicken in a Pot I'm sticin' to mostly family favorites, and trying out a few new recipes that I've been hanging on to. You might be thinking, "A cooking day ?"

We were out of town for a family event this weekend, so I didn't cook at home last night (I'm also working on getting the Walgreens match-ups done since I didn't have a chance to get them up this weekend and hopefully they'll be up later today.

So, while I’ve managed to cook dinner and get school with the kids done, I haven’t had any blocks of time long enough to go to the store (not to mention plan a menu and make a list!).
At times like these, I’m really glad that I usually plan my menu more than a week ahead of time . Even though I’m now four days late with planning my Are you wondering where the “Grocery Spending” part is? Well, as I mentioned yesterday, my camera and I have been traipsing all over the place this week and instead of grocery shopping on Thursday,

Menu Plan Monday
Well, since we're back from visiting my sister, it's back to the menu planning and cooking grind. To find out more about the importance of having a meal plan, click here . I'm not really excited about bringing both boys to the store with me, so I plan on going either one evening a week or Saturdays and leave them at home. It was nice to take a break from cooking. And, my husband survived with the food I left behind for him.

Monday: Beer Battered Fish and Chips and Sweet Corn from the Freezer (Tilapia is on sale this week at Meijer for $2.99) Tuesday: Taco's Wednesday: Sweet Sloppy Joe's , peas and salad with homemade croutons Thursday: Left Over Night "I try to make this fun by rotating who gets first choose at the left overs" Friday: Homemade Pizza (Friday night tradition) Saturday: Eat out at Skyline ( Kids eat Free !) Sunday: Grilled Chicken kabobs and veggies (I learned how to cook on the grill myself a few years ago and I love it.) For other meal planning
