My monthly goal is $100. This should cover my tentative Christmas budget that I based on what we spent in 2018.

There is also a mail-in, paint rebate for $5 off per can on the HGTV Paint & Primer in One line. The rebate specifically states that it can’t be combined will any of there coupon, discount or offer, so it probably won’t work. Maybe if I grab the paint I’ll be motivated to get it done!

If you submit a $5 rebate, add $5 to your sinking fund. Being able to actually see your savings grow in your sinking funds can be great motivation to look for additional ways to save money. If you use $10 in coupons on a grocery purchase, add $10 to a sinking fund. Did you find something on Freecycle that you were planning to purchase?
