We don’t live super frugally, but we do live well within our means and try not to be wasteful with our resources. Well, that didn’t happen in our case. Third, our children were well into their thirties when we started the program. One of our sons lost a job during the 2009 recession. They were supporting a young son of hers. We try to take steps to avoid that. His wife was in the middle of re-training for a new career.

Why Use Cash?

As an adult, I use both cash and credit as well as checks. In 2008-2009 when we had the credit crunch and recession, there was at least one day when stores were not accepting credit. If you didn’t have cash to spend that day, you may well have been stranded out of gas. If I buy anything online, I use credit.
