How Our Debt Freedom Plan Prepared Us for the Pandemic. Our first storm: 2007. The year 2007 held such promise for us when it started, but by the end of the year, we were brought to our knees. As self-employed small business owners, we have lived through some tough months, but in 2007, it was a tough year.

They’re taking a gap year between high school and college. We’re struggling with it all too. If you’re married, you MUST do this with your spouse.) It’s taking forever for us to accomplish the step we’re on (paying off our non-mortgage debt), but we keep plugging away. It is a lot.
