School started after Labor Day and ended after Memorial Day. Many things we have in 2014 weren’t available in all locations. Gasoline stations did not serve food, have coffee or provide bath rooms. Heck, there were barely chain guards! There were lots of kids to play with (we were the baby boom after all).
