I spend $100 a week now on groceries for the two of us. Examples of financial advisor suggestions that would have steered my family wrong: An estate trustee at a bank recommended selling off Chevron stock that my Aunt owned “because it is too risky”. I’ve ignored most of them, successfully to this point. Stocks were cheap.
