Have you read and would recommend any books similar to Unorthodox or Educated? I’d say the theme of these books is something like…women breaking free from oppressive, fundamentalist religious sects, where they could not be properly educated or have freedom and agency. Do you also not exchange birthday gifts with them?

We spoiled our children and we apparently are even more intent on doing so with our grandchildren! My parents were somewhat more interactive with their grandchildren (my kids). They drove the 200 mile trip on holidays and birthdays to celebrate with us. Why are we spending more on our grandchildren? It’s just fun!
