When I was allotted TV time, I didn’t use it to watch the standard children’s shows. When you are 18, two years seems like a life time. This threw me off my game.

I biked to the library, to the mall, to the TCBY, to visit my parents at their offices in the university, to the pool, basically everywhere a kid would want to go. My kids are able to bike to school and activities – my son even bikes to the airport where he takes flight lessons. The freedom was amazing. Yes to both!

For 20 or so years I’ve been homeschooling my kids, and am now down to about 1 1/2 (one full-time homeschooler, and one doing College Credit Plus with some support). He pointed out that I had studied sculpture and this was sort of similar, so I used a pair of office scissors and cut his hair a week before our wedding.
