We had a coal stove at home, but my brother and my shared bedroom was just a few feet from the stove. Poor me, it was very hot and we just had a little tiny window air conditioner. In the winter, it was fricken cold in there! It stayed warm, but we still stood by the stove in the morning to warm our front and backsides up.
