Are we on our way to an actual depression (as opposed to the Great Recession)? I will go to the bank and stockpile some cash. This economic downturn is just the ticket to accomplish some of those actions. Write down my life experiences on economic downturns for the future benefit of my grandchildren. Why Not Do Both?

We individual investors have all become market skittish since the recent huge recession and economic downturn. Is the economy really recovering or will our jobs (assuming we have one) once again disappear? It’s hard for me, emotionally to avoid trying to time the market. So, who do you believe? Will the bull market end?

Economic stress can also cause some companies to cut their dividends entirely, while diversified funds may feel less of a pinch.
