The cost of gas and my time were the only expenses. That job ended the day the old ’63 Buick Special broke down in mid-delivery, the baby was crying the whole time, it was freezing out and it was my birthday! What less than satisfactory part time jobs have you done to try to make a buck?

He wants to retire early so he can do more woodworking, electronic fixing, and maybe work at a winery or brewery part-time. Manual cars are generally cheaper than automatic and have better gas mileage because they are lighter weight). I love travel, but more so because I like trying new foods and spending time with loved ones.

We shopped at garage sales, turned down the heat, combined errands to use less gas, didn’t buy a lot of prepared food, cooked at home and the like. Instead of spending his birthday check for $10, my husband put it in savings – every single time. I worked a part time job the weekends he wasn’t working.
