Over the weekend, we hosted 12 other children to celebrate my daughter’s 8th birthday. Birthday parties have gotten a little out of hand for us in the past. It is super fun for the kids and we let each of our girls have one birthday party there, but this year we are curtailing those type of expenses, so the parties are at home.

I received wonderful birthday cards and a lemon birthday cake (just what I asked for) which my grandson had his finger in before the candles were even lit. I declared that I have the best daughter in the whole world because of the wonderful present I received. My BFFs surprise visit, while shocking, was wonderful.
