If she wanted to talk to someone, she walked on over and had a conversation, or hitched the mule up to the wagon and rode over. Secondary needs are shelter, a way to keep warm and a band of brothers to hang with for protection. Light was obtained from oil lamps (and yes, she did need to buy that oil). What is a need?
