I was up until 2:30am on Christmas Eve and my daughter and son-in-law were up until 3:30. My granddaughter laughed at her brother’s antics and then tried to consume the shiny wrapping paper. New shoes for me and my daughter and this for my son-in-law: He’s a big cheese fan, so only a vat of cheese will do!

We had a coal stove at home, but my brother and my shared bedroom was just a few feet from the stove. One of their uncles played a joke on them and told them that they could ‘grow’ a pony. Our son was born in October, so I carried him all summer. In the winter, it was fricken cold in there!
