My father’s mother ended up in a nursing home and my parents have expressed a desire to be able to remain at home and hopefully will be able to do so with their long term care insurance. My mother’s parents never needed any long term care and both died otherwise very healthy, just of older age.

to Grandfather’s house we go; . I’m pretty sure I always sang it as Grandmother’s house, which is weird since we actually went to my Grandfather’s house for holidays. The day starts/started with my mother or me or now my daughter getting up and stuffing the bird and getting it into the oven.
