I have used the extra money to pay off debt, fund family trips, or build up our Christmas savings. Years ago during our Debt Freedom Plan, I avoided using credit cards, not because we had credit card debt, but I was trying to limit our overall spending. Plasma Donation Earnings: $236. Aflac Reimbursement: $40.

I have used the extra money to pay off debt, fund family trips, or build up our Christmas savings. I donated plasma 5 times in March which is short of my goal of 8 times. I usually donate on Friday and Sunday mornings and I missed a few days due to schedule conflicts. Yep, I found a $20 bill while running on the beach!

I don’t want to feel like I’m wasting all the gifts I’ve been given, including my finances. I don’t have to drive my kids everywhere, which means I have more time to do things like cook or projects around the house, or volunteer (and build connections) in my community. What’s your best frugal win?

If you can’t answer with the word, CASH , then please, set yourself up for success and build an emergency fund. He then advises paying off your non-mortgage debt before fully funding an emergency fund with 3 – 6 months worth of expenses. 10 – Rethink your gift spending and create a budget for the year.

Many of us begin to spend money l ike it’s going out of style, gathering up gifts for our loved ones that they may not need or want simply because gifting at this time of year is expected. We requested a KitchenAid attachment one year as a gift and it makes this process SO much easier. I’d send some to my nieces to help with their college expenses and would donate half to our local food pantry. Another neighbor put in new sod and didn’t like how his one year old mower cut the grass so he gave the mower to us.
