You can look for consumer reported issues with catalogs in places such as The Rip Off Report. Buy in bulk. If you intend to do large plantings, as we have done with our thousands of daffodils, it pays to buy in bulk from wholesale growers. Some unhappy buyers complain about low seed counts in the packages.

In retail it is typically is sold in a bulk display without any individual packaging or plastic wrapping. In food service it is typically served as part of a salad.

We literally consume carrots every day in our house. Buy them in bulk when they are on sale and throw them in your freezer. Peanut butter : I know there is an issue with it in schools but you can still eat it at home. Carrots : These orange gems are loaded with beta-carotene and fiber. They are also high in Vitamin A and K.

I should add: obviously if you buy bulk foods from a packaging-free/low-packaging store, then it makes sense to put that food into containers. I know at Whole Foods, you used to dispense bulk food into a thin plastic bag, which was clearly not meant for long-term storage. No need to pay for a label. I hope you feel de-influenced. ?
