We include breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks in our planning. My mom and I are each responsible for 2 dinners. We usually plan for one night to be ‘clean out the fridge’ night and we allow for 3 dinners out. We both freeze our dinners at home and they hold up well in the coolers on our trip.

We travel with my extended family, so my mom and I will sit down before the trip and talk about a meal plan. Include breakfasts, lunches, dinners and even snacks in your planning. For dinner, we''ll plan to eat in on 5 nights and eat out 2 nights. Also, by planning ahead I can take advantage of sales.
