Thursday: Thanksgiving. My mother hosted her side of the family. Everyone chips in though, but my mom and two aunts cook the bulk of the food. Saturday: I am roasting a turkey for my family, mostly for the leftovers, but also so the 4 of us can sit down as a family for a big meal. Wednesday: Spaghetti night.

My family regularly requests my black bean brownies , but today I decided to change them up and add some leftover pumpkin puree I saved from Thanksgiving. Since I use pumpkin a lot this time of year, I like to buy it in bulk at Sam’s Club. The results were amazing! 1 cup pumpkin puree. 2/3 cup cocoa powder, unsweetened.

For Easter, we were able to cut the cost of our dinner by doing some things that we will repeat for Christmas: Bulk Shop. I am normally not a fan of bulk shopping at places like Costco. It actually saves over the year.
