Although my parents never specifically taught me about finances, they lived a frugal life by necessity. When they got married, they bought a duplex so that the rent money from the tenant in the upstairs apartment would pay the mortgage. He’s a cheap date – but then, so am I. You don’t have to be cheap to be frugal.
