There were plenty of options for table clothes, chocolate and candies. In addition, I was able to find inexpensive plates and cups for the kids table and dessert. Cooking Desserts Recipes' I was happy to see a nice selection of Easter Baskets for just $1.00. Of course, I had to check out for the obligatory Easter peeps.

You can make dessert breads, cookies, candies, and a number of other items and give them as gifts. Remember that a thoughtful gift doesn’t have to be expensive.

We usually do honey glazed ham, asparagus, potatoes, salad, bread and tons of dessert. My mom always gives up sugar for Lent so there are usually plenty of yummy desserts. Obviously going to someone else’s house for Easter dinner is a pretty inexpensive option, if you are the lucky one hosting, dinner can end up being pricey.

To make clean up fairly easy so that you can enjoy your guests, I have found really cute and inexpensive party supplies, paper plates, cups, and napkins at the dollar store. Invite the neighbors, family, friends, for s’mores and hot chocolate by the fire. I use our own silverware, mostly because I hate eating with plastic ware.
