We mowed the grass, made our clothes, cleaned house, cooked , and fixed broken stuff. Eating out or going to a movie were once a year events. We especially never put anything consumable (like gas, food, eating out, movies and etc) on a credit card. Me: What else do you recall doing to be thrifty?
